For eating on the Appalachian Trail, the spoon/fork (i.e., spork) combination just makes sense. If you get a small spork or a folding titanium spork, you can conveniently store it in your cooking pot. Whatever you do, don’t buy a plastic spork. It will break with the heat and the cold.
